The Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital School of Nursing 2011 graduates have achieved a 100% National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) pass rate. This means that all 20 students in the School's last graduating class passed his/her national boards (NCLEX) the first time. This is the first time this has happened since the school reopened in 2005.
The average NCLEX pass rate is in the 80th percentile. The Schools current pass rate has been in the 90th percentile which is considered excellent for a relatively new program. A high NCLEX pass rate signifies things such as curriculum integrity, the mastery of test-takings skills, a professional faculty-student teaching relationship, and a strong clinical program.
