Advance planning can make your hospital stay at The Family Place more pleasant for you and your family. About three to four weeks before your baby is due, pack a small bag:
- Nightgowns, button front if breast feeding
- Lightweight bathrobe
- Slippers
- Bras, nursing style if you plan to breast feed
- Deodorant
- Shampoo
- Writing paper and pencil/pen
- Nursing pads if nursing
You may wish to prepare a labor bag, too, which includes:
- Socks/slippers
- Chap stick
- CD's
- Camera and/or video camera and charger
You may also wish to bring your own bed pillow in a non-white pillow case. The Family Place will provide sanitary pads and panties.
