The Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital Pain Management Clinic is an outpatient service under the direction of anesthesiologist Jyotish Grover, MD. After completing a residency in anesthesiology, Dr. Grover undertook a fellowship to receive special training in the subspecialty of pain management at the New York University School of Medicine, accredited by the American Board of Anesthesiology and the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education.
During her year-long pain medicine fellowship, Dr. Grover acquired a wide range of knowledge and skills to diagnose and treat the causes of pain.
After beginning her practice at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital in 2000, Dr. Grover determined the treatments and procedures that would be the most beneficial to the local community. Dr. Grover is certified to practice a wide range of procedures, but focuses on treatments that are commonly needed by the residents of the Juniata Valley. Today, patients who experience pain are referred to the Pain Management Clinic through their family doctor, neurologist or surgeon.
