Lewistown Hospital Behavioral Health Services participates with Medicare, Medicaid, and most major insurance/managed care programs such as:  Geisinger Health Plan, Blue Cross, Health America, Health Assurance, Aetna, Teamsters, UFCW, United Behavioral Health, Tri-care, Cigna Behavioral Health, as well as others.  If you have questions regarding your insurance coverage (co-pay, number of visits allowed, if preauthorization is required, etd.), please contact the number on the back of your insurance card, usually listed under Mental or Behavioral Health services.  You can also contact the Center for Behavioral Health at 717-242-7264.  Life can be an emotional roller coaster, and it may be difficult to tell if you are facing a stressful situation, the blues or depression.  According to the National Institute of Mental Health, depression affects nearly 19 million Americans each year.  Sadly, more than two-thirds of these individuals do not get the help they need.  Keeping yourself healthy includes mental health, but unfortunately it is a topic that is often avoided.  Not only does the Center for Behavioral Health work with individuals diagnosed with Depression, but also those who are experiencing difficulties with anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, children with ADD or ADHD as well as adults, and post-traumatic stress disorder, to name a few.
