(March 1, 2010) Lewistown, PA – The Diabetes Resource Center at Lewistown Hospital is offering Diabetes Education Classes. Classes will be held one day a week for five weeks starting April 7, and ending May 5, at the Lewistown Hospital from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm.
The topics for the classes include: Healthy Eating, Being Active and Monitoring, Taking Medication, Reducing Risks, and Problem Solving and Healthy Coping.
Classes are not free. Medicare and other private insurance plans will be billed based on the number of class hours attended. Contact your insurance plan representative and find out if you are covered for diabetes education.
