The Lewistown Healthcare Foundation welcomes new board member, Diane Spokus, Ph.D., CHES.
Spokus is a faculty member in the Department of Health Policy and Administration in the College of Health and Human Development at Penn State and has also served the past seven years as a member of the Allied Health Care Steering Committee of the Southcentral PAWorkforce Investment Board.
In addition to instructing college courses, she has also served as a Health Educator for the Southcentral Pennsylvania Area Health Education Center. In addition to authoring several professional publications, Spokus is also the co-author of a book entitled, Working Longer: New Strategies for Managing, Training and Retaining Older Workers.
Spokus is a member of the advisory board for the PA Department of Aging, Experience Works and Corporation for a Skilled Workforce. She is concurrently a consultant and trainer for the Aging Workforce Initiative and a member of the Society for Human Resource Development (SHRM); the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD); the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE); the Gerontological Society of America; the American Psychological Association; the National Council on Aging; the American Society (NCOA) on Aging; the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES); the International Society of Gerotechnologists; and Chair/elect to the MaturityWorks Alliance (MWA).
